LONG WEEKEND AUCTION RESULTS

The long weekend was interesting for auctions. 6 of 11 properties sold, not a bad result considering the lack of depth in the weekend market and it being a holiday.  We profiled 58 Duffy Street Portsea as the pick of the premium offerings.  An outstanding piece of Portsea real estate that drew a big crowd.  There was a buzz in the air, plenty of people all hopeful of competitive entertainment. Gerald Delany of Kay & Burton got he auction underway but failed to draw a genuine bid and the property was passed in on a vendor bid of $3,400,000; thankfully the home sold shortly afterwards for an undisclosed figure.

Speaking with Damien Coad of Noel Jones real estate; was worth the phone call.  The agency auctioned 122 Coolart Road Tuerong; a 6.5 acre lifestyle property with a small 2 bedroom dwelling.  Originally priced at $800,000 after a 3 week campaign the expectation was revised and at auction the property called on the market at $906,000. 2 parties battled it out and the landholding sold for $1,014,000.  Competition creates results.

This coming weekend the auction property is on the rebound with some excellent premium level homes up for grabs.  We’ll keep you posted later in the week and highlight the ones to look out for.

As winter sets in there’s still plenty of premium peninsula properties to keep you warm.  Check out our best picks at the tiles below.  Have a great week.
